Meet the Johnston Family! This is the second year I’ve had the honor of being the family photographer for the Johnstons. I know I say this a lot, but I really do have the best families to work with! This crew is so much fun, they’re relaxed, and they are just naturals.
This year, we ventured a little farther out of town, but as you’ll see…it was totally worth it! And wow, did we have a gorgeous night! The highlight of the evening was the tiny cricket the little guy carried around for half of the session. It really kind of melted my heart a little…I mean who doesn’t love a little boy hunting for critters to make their pet?! And can we talk about what an amazing job Lauren did with their wardrobe for their session?? Wardrobe design assistance is always something I offer as part of my sessions, but she clearly gets it. I can’t express enough how much what you wear affects the appearance of your photos. (This doesn’t mean “buy all new clothes”…no ma’am! More on that here!). Anyway, Lauren chose a perfect combination of patterns, some layers, and that gorgeous pop of red. Perfection!
The great thing about family photography is you don’t have to wait until fall for your session. Spring sessions are equally as gorgeous, and frankly sometimes much cooler, and not in the middle of all of the holiday busyness! Are you ready to get started planning your family’s session?
